June 29, 2007 - Dellin Betances made his third start for the baby bombers, his first on the road against the Aberdeen Ironbirds.  Betances had some trouble early in the game, giving up three runs only two earned in his 4.1 innings pitched.

Offensively the Yankees had a hard time driving in men on base, stranding 11 runners while getting 11 hits.  The baby bombers scored their first run in the third inning with 1 out when Justin Snyder belted a homerun over the leftfield fence.  Staten Island would go on to score one run in the fourth for their second and final run of the game.

Jeff Livek pitched 0.2 innings of perfect relief before giving it up to Craig Heyer who gave up 2 runs in 3.0 innings.  The Ironbirds and Yankee will face off again tonight in the rubber game.  Zach McAllister will be on the mound for Staten Island, making his third consecutive road start.
