Yankees Win Third in a Row
The Yankees continued their winning
streak with a victory at "The Bank"

June 26, 2007 - The
baby bombers continued their first winning streak of the season,
defeating the Hudson Valley Renegades at the Richmond County
Bank Ballpark. Ryan Zink started the game for
the Yankees, pitching 5 shutout innings getting the win.
Staten Island got on the board early on in the first inning.
Justin Snyder lead off with a walk and was then caught stealing
at second. After Luis Nunez hit a pop out to the catcher,
Damon Sublett doubled to left and then advanced to third on an
error by the left fielder. He would then come into score
on a David Williams single to center. The score would
remain 1-0 until the fourth inning, when Chris Raber drew a one
out walk and advanced to second on an error. Chase
Odenreider would reach first on a throwing error, which would
also advance Raber to third. DJ Hollingsworth belted a
line drive single to left field to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead.
The Yankees would put more on the board in the fifth inning.
Justin Snyder lead off with a walk and then stole second.
Damon Sublett then knocked the first Yankees home run of the
year as well as the first home run at the Richmond County Bank
Ballpark. David William then belted another single and
advanced on a wild pitch and made it to third when Austin Krum
grounded out. Williams would come into score when Chris
Raber knocked a line drive single to center. DJ
Hollingsworth led off the sixth inning with a bunt single down
the first base line and would advance to third on a single by
Snyder. Luis Nunez had a sacrifice fly to left field for
the RBI.
Staten Island got into a little trouble in the seventh inning
when they gave up three runs to the Renegades. The baby
bombers would get those runs back in the bottom of the inning
off a two run home run by Chase Odenreider, scoring Austin Krum.
The 'Gades would go on to score two more runs in the eighth
inning but were unable to mount a come back against the bombers.
