August 10, 2007 – Jason Stephens went 6 innings, allowing 2 hits, while striking out 5 batters in his second rehab start.  The young right-handed pitcher was perfect through the first 4 innings before allowing a leadoff double in the fifth inning.  Stephens held Jamestown to 2 hits as he got his second win of the season.

The Staten Island Yankees were the first to go on the board, plating 2 runs in the first inning.  Justin Snyder led off with a single to left and moved to third on a double by Taylor Holiday.  Damon Sublett got the first Yankee RBI with a sacrifice fly to center field, moving Holiday to third.  Braedyn Pruitt then belted a line drive single to center to plate Holiday for the second run of the game.

The bombers offense was left hitless for 7.2 innings before a groundball RBI single to left by Matt Morris that would give the bombers a 3-0 lead.

Jason Kiley took over on the mound in the seventh inning, pitching 1.2 inning allowing 2 hits and a walk while striking out 3.  He handed the ball over to Jonathan Ortiz in the eighth inning with 1 out left.  Ortiz got the final out of the inning and came in to get the save in the ninth.

The Staten Island Yankees and Jamestown Jammers will meet up again tomorrow night at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark, as Zach McAllister will be starting.
